Introduction :

The 4BE1 is a 3.6L direct injection engine.

It is a high revving high output diesel on its VE-Rotary Zexel injection pump.

It replaced the 4BC2 in Isuzu NPR's from 1987- non turbo, while the other version uses Diesel Kiki A-type

injection pump but not the same as high revving like the Rotary version.
